This is a very custom version of ren'py because we've modified the python code a lot (actually ren'py is not for point n click game, it is a visual novel engine, I dont know if somebody ever made a point n click in renpy)
If you like to create a point n click I dont reccomend ren'py for this because its too complicated for no reason. This is our first game so we did it but we learn a lot about it and this was a long journey :)

Awesome, my gut said Ren'Py but like you said I have never seen a game use that engine for a point and click before so I wasn't sure.
